Privacy Policy and legal documents for the Knowzo mobile application.
This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is collected, processed and stored in connection with the Knowzo mobile application (the “App”), operated by Ruchan Okal. By using the App you accept the terms of this policy.
2.1 Account Information When the App is opened, an anonymous session is created via Firebase Authentication; no name, email or phone number is requested. The system generates a random user identifier (UID).
The optional display name and country you set for the leaderboard are stored on our servers.
2.2 Gameplay Data Questions answered, correctness and response time per question Total points, lifetime accuracy, current streak and daily-quest progress Selected app language Computed global leaderboard rank
2.3 Automatically Collected Information Device information (model, OS version, language, screen size) App version, crash reports, session data Approximate location (country derived from IP; the IP address itself is not retained long-term) A randomly generated installation ID In-app event data (game start/end, question shown, answer result, ad request/impression)
2.4 Advertising Information Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), the ads you see and your interactions with them may be collected by Google AdMob. If App Tracking Transparency is declined on iOS, only non-personalized ads are shown.

Information Security Appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place to protect your personal data. Server-side validation, Firestore security rules preventing cross-user data access and authenticated access mechanisms are used. However, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Sharing with Third Parties Your personal data is not shared with third parties except in the following situations:

Google’s processing of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Data Processing Terms.
Advertising Identifiers Our mobile App does not use traditional browser cookies. Instead, the device’s advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) may be used by AdMob for ad-frequency limiting and ad personalization. You can reset this identifier or disable personalization at any time from your device settings.
Data Retention and Deletion Gameplay data is retained for as long as the App remains installed Analytics data is retained per Firebase’s default retention settings (typically 14 months for event-level data) Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days Deletion requests may be sent to knowzo@yandex.com at any time and will be processed within 30 days
Children’s Privacy The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. AdMob settings are configured to deliver only ads suitable for general audiences.
User Rights Under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and applicable EU GDPR provisions, you have the right to:
Access the personal data processed about you Request a copy of that data Request correction of inaccurate data Request deletion or destruction of the data Withdraw your consent to ad personalization
Requests may be sent to knowzo@yandex.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.
International Data Transfers User data is primarily stored in Google Cloud’s europe-west1 (Belgium) region. Aggregate analytics data may be processed in other Google data centers worldwide.
Limitation of Liability The App is not responsible for the content of third-party websites or advertisements linked from within No liability is accepted for indirect damages arising from service interruptions or data loss Advertising content is supplied by the AdMob network; the accuracy or appropriateness of individual ads is not the App’s responsibility
Governing Law and Disputes This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising hereunder.
Changes This Privacy Policy may be updated without prior notice. The current version is always published on our website. In the case of material changes, an in-app notice may be displayed.
